What does Charter Work Experience offer Schools?

Charter can supplement existing  opportunities organised by a school, acting as a ‘one stop shop’ for work experience placements.

The main advantage of using Charter is that careers departments can request more than one placement at a time, within a wide range of employers and occupational areas.

Charter will...
  • Work directly with schools' careers departments to match students with worthwhile and enjoyable work experience placements
  • Ensure students attending work experience are covered by the appropriate indemnity insurance
  • Relieve the burden of providing employer details for the students (ie providing directions, start times etc)
  • Provide each student with a placement evaluation form to offer focussed evaluation of each placement, ensuring all work experience interventions are of the highest possible standard every time

Charter works directly with schools to ensure the student is well prepared for, and gets the full benefit from, their placement, making the experience hassle free for each pupil and for their school. In certain instances, we are restricted in what we can offer.
Details regarding Employer Limitations are available via the PDF download on the right.
Information about our Requests Procedures can be downloaded from the PDF link to the right.

Charter does not accept requests from students or parents; rather, we liaise directly with Careers Teachers and Employers. If you ask parents to arrange work experience and they
contact us about any of our companies, we will refer them back to the school.  This only wastes valuable time for all parties
.
